Business
and Environment Series
MEI’s Business and Environment Series is an effort
to bring together Minnesota business leaders, representatives
from government agencies, and members of the nonprofit
sector to discuss emerging issues that affect both business
and the environment. Members of these different groups
often do not have opportunities to jointly explore issues,
collaborate, and learn from each other. What
MEI is doing:
In 2007, MEI surveyed environmental managers to learn
what topics would most interest them. Respondents identified
energy efficiency, climate change and carbon management,
various water issues, and product stewardship as key topics.
In 2008, MEI will launch the Business and Environment
Series with a discussion on efficient energy management
by businesses and the benefits businesses can realize
by improving energy efficiency.
