Business
and Environment Series
MEI’s Business and Environment Series is an effort
to bring together Minnesota business leaders, representatives
from government agencies, and members of the nonprofit
sector to develop solutions to environmental issues that
impact Minnesota’s business community. Members of
these different groups often do not have opportunities
to jointly explore issues, collaborate, and learn from
each other. A Business and Environment session is a forum
for networking and problem-solving. Each session features
case studies presented by local business leaders that
detail real world examples, highlight take-away action
items, and provide participants with resources that help
with implementation. What
MEI is doing:
In 2010 the Business and Environment Series will focus
on helping Minnesota’s business community add value
to their company by integrating sustainability into their
operations. Half-day sessions will address various topics
related to sustainability in business and will provide
attendees opportunities to jointly explore issues, collaborate,
and learn from one another.
2010 Business and Environment Session topics:
Spring: Overcoming Barriers to Sustainability (April 27,
2010)
Summer: Energy and Sustainability
Fall: Water Sustainability
